Indicator Control Module Mounting Instructions
General Installation Notes:
Please read instructions completely before beginning
installation. If you have any questions please call
Toll Free 1-877-469-7440.
Warning:
Do not remove setting pin that is tagged with a red
warning tag. Removal of this pin before installation will
result in inaccurate adjustment of your indicator.
Before beginning installation, put transmission in
Park position.
Indicator Control Module Mounting:
Step 1: Mount indicator control module to trans pan rail
as shown in Fig. 3, placing 3/8" spacer between
oil pan and mounting bracket. NOTE: DO NOT
TIGHTEN BOLTS (tightening at this point could
cause binding during later installation).
Step 2: Install trans arm nut onto selector shaft. If
selector shaft threads are metric, use metric nut
(nicks in hex).
Step 3: Install trans arm to outside of trans arm nut.
Lock washer is installed between trans arm and
cap screw. Install trans arm at same angle as
arm on control module.

Step 4: With trans still in the park position, hook up con-
trol module linkage to trans arm and tighten bolts
evenly (gently shaking the module while tightening
will help to avoid binding and tighten evenly) to hold
control module on trans. Setting pin will now be
snug; using pliers, PULL OUT SETTING PIN (with red
tag) Arm should not move when pin is pulled. If arm
moves while removing pin, you must reset the pin.
Step 5: The 6' cable from the control module should be routed
to the location where the indicator will be mounted.
Be sure that the cable does not touch any sharp edges
of the transmission or frame. Also, be sure to route the
cable away from the exhaust system.
Step 6: The TH-350 and 700-R4 shift indicator controllers are
identical with the exception that the TH-350 does not
have a GREEN wire. All additional connections are the
same. For TH-350 see Fig. 1. For 700-R4 see Fig. 2.
AFTER YOUR LED INDICATOR AND/OR NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH
MODULE WIRING IS COMPLETE: Connect the Black wire from
controller to a GOOD chassis ground point. Connect the
Red wire to the ignition switch connection that has 12 volts
available when key is on.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR RESETTING THE PIN:
Should the arm move while removing
the pin as described in Step 4, it will
be necessary for you to reset the pin
for proper adjustment of the indicator
module. Be sure transmission is in the
park position. Loosen mounting bolts
from control module and trans pan rail
and reinsert pin and tighten bolts as
described in Step 4.
